We're all artists. For better or worse, we create the lives we lead, one story at a time. Whether we know it or not, we are each busy weaving our stories on a daily basis, which in turn, weave into the lives of those around us.

Learning to walk through this world with the eyes, ears, hands and heart of an artist is by far the most fun I’ve ever had. I love sharing both the things I’ve created and the incredible things created by others.

 

This little corner of the internet is where that love lives.

I've always been an artist at heart. As a child, I ran away with Maurice Sendak, Roald Dahl, and E.B. White. I spent hours copying Walt Disney books and Shel Silverstein poems. I even recall telling my grandmother that I wanted to be a professional colorer when I grew up.

 

That passion never left me, even though it had to simmer in the background of a first career as an English educator. 

 

I tortured my AP Lit students with more than just Dickens. I made them draw, paint, sing, and dance. They always inspired me to do the same and now I've taken that leap.

 

One thing is for certain: it makes for a good story.
