I've been a word nerd as long as I can recall. Probably well before I took my baby briefcase to kindergarten.
I spent 20 years in the English classroom, teaching seniors in high school all about life via the written word. We studied the greats: Milton, Shakespeare, Morrison, Dickens. I loved almost every second of it.
I now help folks in transition find and tell their stories.
Stories are powerful things. They can take on a life of their own. Sometimes they propel us to great achievements; other times, they hold us back from being who we were made to be. Always, they can be coaxed into the light so that we can dust them off, see what they have to teach us, and then set them free.
I call that StoryFinding. It's the process I used to help me find my way home. It's the process I love sharing with others to help them do the same.
